Archaeological Society of SD. Contact:  Lynette Rossum, 274-5493. Open to amatuers and professionals who have an interest in history and prehistory of the Great Plains.

Sioux Falls Artist League. 
Contact:  Lynn Parker, 743-5833.  Helps emerging and established artists through newsletters, art expos and information on places that display art.

Sioux Empire Astronomy Club.
Contact: Jim Morris, 334-9189.  Offers family participation and public involvement in the wonders of the night sky.

Sioux Falls Bird Club.
Contact: Mick Zerr, 339-0185.  Brings together bird-watchers for field trips and educational forums about birds in SD.

Sioux Empire Ford Club. Contact: Mike Pfeil, 334-4384.  Meets third monday of each month.
Sioux Empire Studebaker Club. Contact: selmer Johnsrud, 336-9310.  For people interested in Studebakers and Packards.  Open to anyone.
Siouxland Street Rodders. Contact: Mark VanDam, 331-4028.  Specializes in street rods and customized cars from all years.
Modifiers Car Club. Contact:  Steve Lynch, 428-4142.  Meets monthly. Hosts local cruises, a poker run, a car show at Quarry Days in Dell Rapids.
Sioux Falls Corvette Club. Contact: Bob Roetzel, 336-7140.  Meets the last Wednesday of each month.

China Painters Club. 
Contact: Marjorie Goodroad, 332-4056.  Gathers for a business meeting and paints china together.

Creative Icers Cake Club.
Contact:  Carol Morgan, 332-4832.  Open to anyone interested in the art of cooking, cake decorating, candy making, baking, etc.

Sioux Falls Concert Association.
  Contact: John Hegg, 339-2582.  Provides five moderately priced concerts top the communtiy.

Apple Core of Siouxland.
  Contact: Art Umland, 526-6463.  Members ranging from beginners to whizzes, share thier knowledge, skills and experiences.

Couples Dance Club, Ballroom Dancing.
Contact: Cindi Scheid, 371-3078.  Social dancing club that meets once a month on the second Friday of each month at the El Riad Shrine building.
Shirts and Skirts. Contact: Lanny Beam, 332-7391.  Provides square dancing for members and others who enjoy square dancing.

Sioux Empire Kennel Club.  COntact: JoAnne Johnson, 339-2037.  Offers opportunites to show and train dogs.

Minnehaha Dollers. 
Contact: Lorraine Smith, 334-8915.  A group of doll collectors that hosts social, charitable, and educational events.
Minnehaha Mini-Makers. Contact: Jeannine Huffer, 335-3528.  Collects and makes miniatures, esp dollhouses and furniture.

SD Future Society. Contact: Tomm Killian, 332-2690.  A group of people who are interested in the study of the future.

Sioux Falls Cribbabge Club. Contact: Dan Graf, 335-0626.  Holds weekly tournaments and an annual national event.
Scrabble Players. Contact: Mark Oppenheimer, 332-8404.  Three games are played on a one-on-one basis. Call for meeting dates and times.
Sioux Falls Chess League. Contact: De Knudson, 338-9431. Informal competition league with teams of four players.


Dell Rapids Garden Club. Contact: Connie Opland, 446-3432. Open to adults and youths interested in gardening related activities.
Minnehaha County Master Gardeners. Contact: Steven Munk, 367-7877.  Attend a series of training sessions related to horiculture and agree to return volunteer hours to the Extension Office.
Orchid Club of Sioux Falls. Contact: Lisa Burns, 330-0775. Provides and association for people interested in the culture and propogation of orchids.
Sioux Empire Iris Society. Contact: Betty Hemmer, 334-7325.  Promotes the culture of irises, conducts garden tours, holds shows and sells rhizomes.
Sioux Falls Garden Club. Contact: Rebecca Olsen, 371-2729.  A social group for people interested in gardening and the environment.
SD African Violet Club. Contact: miriam Greene, 332-1485.  Provides an association for people interested in the sharing of cultural information, techniques and propogation of African violets.

Sioux Empire Gem and Mineral Society. 
Contact: Josi Kronaizl, 334-5085.  SEGAMS is a nonprofit, educational organization chartered by the state of SD to share knowledge of earth sciences and lapidary through field trips and programs.

Sioux Valley Genealogical Society. 
Contact:  Old Courthouse Museum from 1-5 pm Mon -Sat.  Offers to help and resources in researching genealogy.

Split Rock Muzzle Loading Clan. 
Contact: Carl Eliason, 543-5810.  Two class are given: shoot target and rendezvous.

Sioux Empire Amateur Radio Club. 
Contact: Jim Stalzer, WJOS, 361-2895.  Compete in "fox hunts" trying to find a hidden transmitter in the city.

American Harp Society, Jubal Chapeter.

Sons of Norway.

Sioux Falls Jazz and Blues Society. 
Contact: Carrie Williams, 338-5227.  Promotes the sport of hot-air ballooning.JAZZ AND BLUES
Sioux Falls Jazz and Blues Society. Contact: Robert Joyce, 335-6101.Brings jazz and blues entertainment to Sioux Falls.  Works to increase awareness of jazz and blues with musical events and education.

Harley Owners Group.

Sioux Falls Camera Club. 
Contact: Steve Thompson, 528-3675.  A camera club for ama teur photographers.  Holds competitions.

SD State Poetry Society. 
Contact: Verlyss Jacobson, 647-2447.  Includes writers and patrons of poetry. Publishes Pasque Petals.

Sioux Falls Quilting Guild.
 Contact: Twila Perkinson, 371-3245.  A social and educational group for people interested in quilting.

Donovan Radio Control Club.
 Contact: John Donovan, 338-6945, cell 201-0720. Meets weekly in the summer for organized flying seesionsof the radio-controlled planes.  
Sioux Falls RC'rs. Contact: Bill Beck, 338-4230.  a group for radio-controlled model airplane enthusiasts.

Siouxland Renaissance Association. Contact:  Melissa Sutton, Judy Stucky, 336-7597.  Sponsors the Siouxland Renaissance Festival.
The Society for Creative Anachronism - Border Downs. Contact: Andy Barnes, 333-0762. An international organization dedicated to researching and recreating pre-17th century European history.


Norsee Glee Club. Contact: Lyle Kroon, 335-1624.  Men's singing group with some Scandinavian songs.  Concerts, lutefisk supper and food stand at the Sioux Empire Fair.
Sioux Emperians Barbershop Chorous. Contact: Don Hennies, 224-4358.  This singing group for men is part of an international organization.
Sweet Adelines International. Contact: Jan Heibert, 336-9201.  This women's group sings barbershop harmony.
Siouxland Singers and/or Dells of the Sioux Marching Band. Contact:  Jane Newman, 582-7321.  Small fee for participation. A nonprofit organization designed for youthd in smaller school systems who want to further their musical experiences.

Skydive Adventures. Contact: Steve Stombaugh, 274-9970. Offers parachute demonstrations, skydiving instruction and tandem rides.  All training, equipment and liability insurance in the cost.

Dell Rapids Swiftdrifters.  Contact: Mike Munk, 428-5750.  Meets monthly in winter for business meeting, plus club rides.

Sioux Wheelers(Juniors). Contact: Dick Neu, 332-4363. Provides sporting activities for athletes ages 8 to 18 with disabilities. 
Sioux Wheelers Sports. Contact: Dave Van Bruskirk, 334-0000.  Offers sporting activities for people who use wheelchairs.
Special Olympics SD. Contact: Carol Husby, 331-4117.  Provides year round athletic training and competition in a variety of coached, Olympic-type sports for all mentally handicaped children and adults.

Minnehaha Sportsmens Conservation Club. Contact: James Schaffer, 363-3283.  Affiliated with the NRA.  Works to protect rights and sponsors many conservation events, programs and shows.
29-90 Sportsman's Club. Contact: Charles Rokusek, 362-9827. Group for people interested in hunting, fishing, and conservation issues.

Sioux Falls Stamp Club. Contact: Bob Schmidt, 357-5020 or 800-275-8777 (US Postal Service). A group of people interested in promoting stamp collecting.

Hy- Vee Wine and Spirits Wine Club. Contact: Scott Ramharter, 335-3918.  holds regular wine tastings at local resturants.

Welcome Club of Sioux Falls. Contact: Bonnie Martin, 978-0144.  For women, esp. those new to the communtiy, with regular monthly meetings and additional social activities.

SD Woodcarvers Inc. Contact: Frank Orthmeyer, 333-9980.  A planned carving project is the standard activity for meetings held the third Saturday of each month from 9am to noon at the Southeast Technical institute at the Edwards Building, providing hands-on experience for attendees.  Special carving classes taught by a well-known instructor might be offered.

Siouxland Creative Writers. Contact: Daryl Kruse, 338-1194.  For amateur and professional writers to share work, offer encouragement and critique and exchange writing and publishing information.  Writers are encouraged to bring their stories, poetry, essays and articles to read.  Meeting the first Sunday of each month.
